TIERRA — Pendant Lamp by Héctor Serrano (Faro Barcelona)

TIERRA 520 combines organic texture with a highly contemporary production process. The pendant’s softly rounded form references the warmth and layered geometry of beehives, while the translucent surface reveals the imperfect tactile quality created by the mixture of PLA bioplastic and recycled pine cellulose. Rather than appearing industrial, the 3D-printed shade carries an artisanal character with subtle irregularities and natural warmth. We see this piece as a sculptural suspended object where texture, translucency, and material experimentation become central to the visual identity of the lamp.

In our projects at HBellorín, we would use TIERRA 520 above dining tables, hospitality seating areas, or double-height spaces where the pendant can introduce warmth and volume without feeling visually dense. In Budapest apartments with natural oak flooring, textured plaster walls, and softer contemporary palettes, the beige translucent shade creates a particularly balanced atmosphere. The pendant works beautifully both as a standalone statement and in grouped compositions where multiple fixtures create a more immersive luminous installation with a calm architectural rhythm.

TIERRA 520 was designed by Héctor Serrano for Faro Barcelona as part of a collection exploring sustainability, natural materials, and additive manufacturing. The shade combines PLA, a plant-based bioplastic, with recycled pine cellulose to produce a textured surface that feels warm, imperfect, and tactile. Faro Barcelona uses 3D-printing technology here not as a purely technical exercise but as a way to create decorative lighting objects with material depth, translucency, and a closer connection to natural references.

At Bazziko, we selected TIERRA 520 for its ability to merge sustainable material research with a warm sculptural presence. This is the kind of pendant we value in interiors where lighting should contribute texture, atmosphere, and softness while still feeling contemporary and architecturally relevant.
