SAIGON OUT C70 — Outdoor Pendant Lamp by Nahtrang (Faro Barcelona)

SAIGON with the cone cap introduces a more directional interpretation of the collection’s woven language. The olive green or ochre polyester rope shade forms a textured cylindrical volume, while the cone cap subtly defines the light output, focusing it downward. This combination creates a balance between ambient diffusion and controlled illumination. The dark grey aluminium structure remains understated, allowing the material richness of the rope to define the visual identity. The result is a pendant that feels both tactile and precise, with a clear emphasis on how light is shaped within the form.

In our projects at HBellorín, we use this version of SAIGON in outdoor settings where more directed light is required without losing softness. It works particularly well above dining tables in covered terraces or pergolas, where the cone cap helps focus light onto the surface below. The woven shade still diffuses the light enough to maintain a relaxed atmosphere. In Budapest contexts, especially in terrace spaces connected to renovated apartments or Buda hillside homes, this type of fixture allows us to create functional lighting while preserving warmth and material character.

SAIGON is designed by Nahtrang for Faro Barcelona, reflecting a contemporary approach that combines simple forms with expressive materials. The use of UV-resistant polyester rope ensures durability outdoors while referencing traditional weaving techniques. The addition of the cone cap introduces a functional variation within the collection, allowing for more controlled light distribution.

At HBellorín, we selected this SAIGON version for outdoor dining and seating areas where a more focused light is needed. It allows us to maintain the collection’s warmth while introducing greater control over the light direction.
