COPO is a sculptural pendant lamp that combines ceramic, marble, and metal into a compact yet expressive form. Its composition balances a solid cylindrical shade with a contrasting spherical element, creating a refined interplay of volume and material. The hand-painted ceramic finishes and natural stone details give each piece a subtle individuality, suited to interiors where texture and material depth are central.

COPO — Pendant Lamp by Pepe Fornas | Aromas del Campo

The COPO pendant is defined by its stacked composition of geometric volumes, where a cylindrical ceramic body meets a contrasting marble sphere. This vertical arrangement creates a sculptural silhouette that reads clearly even in compact spaces. The matte ceramic finishes introduce a soft tactile quality, while the polished marble element adds weight and visual contrast. Suspended from a fine cable, the piece appears almost as a floating object, with its proportions carefully calibrated to balance solidity and lightness. It is a design that relies on material interplay rather than complexity, allowing each component to remain legible.

In our projects at HBellorín, we use pendants like COPO in compositions rather than as isolated elements, often arranging several units at varying heights above kitchen islands or smaller dining tables. In Budapest apartments, especially those with defined but compact dining areas, this type of suspended piece introduces vertical rhythm without overwhelming the space. The light output depends on the selected bulb, allowing flexibility between ambient and more focused illumination. It is particularly effective in interiors where material layering is already present, reinforcing the dialogue between ceramic, stone, and metal.

COPO — Pendant Lamp by Pepe Fornas | Aromas del Campo

COPO was designed by Pepe Fornas in 2021 for Aromas del Campo, a brand known for its material-driven approach to lighting design. As shown in the technical sheet on page 1, the lamp combines steel, ceramic, and marble into a cohesive object that highlights craftsmanship and finish variation. The inclusion of hand-painted ceramic elements reflects the brand’s Mediterranean sensibility, where subtle differences in surface and tone are part of the design language rather than imperfections.

At Bazziko, we selected this piece for its ability to introduce material richness at a small scale. In our work, COPO is the kind of pendant we use when a space benefits from detail and tactility rather than visual dominance. Its compact proportions and layered materials make it especially useful in refined residential interiors.
