SAIGON translates the language of woven materials into an outdoor lighting context with clarity and restraint. The ochre
or olive green polyester rope shade defines its identity, creating a permeable volume that allows light to pass through while maintaining a strong visual texture. The cylindrical form is balanced by a slim, dark grey aluminium structure that anchors it to the ground without visual weight. The contrast between the structured frame and the soft, woven shade gives the piece a warm, tactile presence, while the filtered light produces a layered glow rather than direct illumination.

In our projects at HBellorín, we use pieces like SAIGON to introduce warmth into outdoor environments where harder materials dominate. It works particularly well in garden paths, terrace edges, or lounge areas where a softer, ambient layer of light is needed. The woven shade diffuses the light gently, creating a relaxed atmosphere that supports evening use without harsh brightness. In residential contexts, especially in landscaped gardens or Buda hillside terraces, this type of lighting helps transition outdoor areas into more intimate, inhabitable spaces after sunset.

SAIGON is part of a collection designed by Nahtrang for Faro Barcelona, where the focus is on combining simple geometries with expressive materials. The use of rope as a primary visual element draws from traditional weaving techniques, reinterpreted for outdoor durability through UV-resistant polyester. Faro Barcelona’s approach ensures that the design remains both visually distinctive and technically suited to exterior conditions.

At HBellorín, we selected SAIGON for projects where outdoor lighting needs to feel relaxed and tactile rather than purely architectural. It is particularly effective in creating atmosphere in garden and terrace settings where material warmth is essential.
